The Battle Training Continues
Episode 6 of “My Hero Academia” takes the intensity up a notch as the students of Class 1-A continue their battle training exercises. The episode focuses on the ongoing match between Team Midoriya/Uraraka and Team Bakugo/Iida. This is where we see the culmination of Deku and Bakugo’s rivalry in a high-stakes setting that showcases both their strengths and weaknesses.
Deku vs. Bakugo
The centerpiece of this episode is the fierce clash between Deku and Bakugo. Fueled by his long-standing resentment towards Deku, Bakugo charges in with his explosive power. His raw aggression contrasts sharply with Deku’s strategic thinking. For the first time, Bakugo is faced with a Deku who not only possesses a Quirk but is willing to stand up to him. Deku’s use of his knowledge about Bakugo’s fighting style, combined with his newfound ability to control One For All, results in an intense and exhilarating showdown.

What makes this episode particularly interesting is the emphasis on strategy over brute strength. Deku and Uraraka showcase their teamwork and strategic planning as they navigate the building to complete their objective. Deku’s use of the environment and his ability to predict Bakugo’s moves demonstrate his growth as a hero in training. A Hero’s Heart
In the climax of the battle, Deku hesitates to use his full power against Bakugo, showing that even in the heat of combat, he remains true to his nature. This hesitation reveals Deku’s inherent compassion, even towards someone who has treated him harshly. The episode ends on a powerful note, with Bakugo struggling to come to terms with the idea that Deku, whom he’s always looked down upon, might just be a true hero in the making.
My Thoughts:
This episode is where we see Bkugos rage and equally Dekus growing fists in for being the underdog. This is a staple episode and sees a lot of key elements of the series being developed.
